			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Bonnie Marie Hartzell, 85, of Findlay passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Birchaven Village following an extended illness. Bonnie was born in Bellevue, KY on July 1, 1926 to Mary and Alva Cooper. She was raised by her mother and beloved step-father, Jerry O. Gordon who preceded her in death on October 7, 1968. Her mother also preceded her in death on October 25, 2001. Bonnie lived in Findlay most of her life and attended Findlay City Schools. She was the oldest of three children. She married Raymond Hartzell in 1943 and they later divorced. Bonnie worked for the Girl Scouts of America for a short time in the 60&#8242;s, and later worked for RCA-Harris-G.E. Corporation from 1967 until her retirement in July of 1992. Bonnie enjoyed girl scouting and served as a troop leader for many years. Her religious affiliation was with the Presbyterian Church. Bonnie loved spending time with her family and spent her life devoting herself to her children and grandchildren.</p>
<p>Bonnie is survived by her three children, Melinda (Phil) Cole, Julie (Tom) Lauck, and David (Sue) Hartzell; grandchildren, Ben and Alex Cole, Amy Smith, and Zach and Cole Osborne; great-grandchildren, Logan, Grant, Owen Callie, Noah, and Elsa; and a brother, Milton Cooper, of Findlay. Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, Alva Cooper, of Westerly, Rhode Island.</p>
<p>Our mother&#8217;s death is not the end. She will live in the hearts of her children. Her children&#8217;s children will profit from her gift of love and grace. God has provided a place for her, where she now lives with no pain or anguish-just happiness and peace.</p>
<p>There will be a private family service for Bonnie. Burial will be held at Bechtel cemetery in Van Buren. <strong>HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, </strong>1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contribution&#8217;s in Bonnie&#8217;s  name may be made to the Hancock County Humane Society.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Antonio B. Pina, 25, of Findlay passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. Tony was born on February 27, 1987 to Charles and Theresa (Pina) Cooper in Findlay. Tony attended Fostoria Baptist Church. Tony Enjoyed playing football with his brothers , nephews, and friends, and going to the races when he was younger to watch his dad race. Tony was a good skateboarder, and enjoyed teaching his nephews how to skateboard. Tony enjoyed spending time with his family and was over protective of his nieces.</p>
<p>Tony is survived by his wife, Nicole (Schellenberg) Pina; children, Lily Phillips, Charles Pina, Neveah Pina, and Brayden Schellenberg; parents; siblings, Jim Cooper, Charles Cooper III, Joshua Springer, Mrs. Jason (Lucy Pina) Denny, Christine Pina, Nicole Cooper, and Sean Cooper; 4 aunts, and 5 uncles; 11 nephews, 5 nieces, and many friends, and homies. Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Cooper Sr., Lucy Pina, Ernest Nivison, and Jean Nivison.</p>
<p>Friends and family may visit on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at <strong>HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, </strong>1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ned J. Pahl, 76, of Findlay passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his residence. Ned was born on September 30, 1935 to Ignatius and Elizabeth (Kinstle) Pahl.</p>
<p>Ned served his country in the U.S. Army, and retired from Findlay City Schools after 27 years of service. Ned was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, the Findlay Elks Lodge 75, the American Legion Post 3, the Port Clinton Moose, Findlay Sail and Power Squadron, and the Port Clinton Yacht Club. Ned also operated his own sailboat charter on Lake Erie.</p>
<p>Ned is survived by his wife Anne (Tebbe) Pahl; daughters, Elizabeth (Randy) Wanamaker, Kathryn (Eric) McKee, and Karen (Tom) Young; 8 beloved grandchildren, Ken, Maryanne, Andrew, Miles, Ellie, Kylie, Kelton, and Katie; brother, Robert (Mary) Pahl; and sisters, Norma Doyle, and Mary (Bernard) Collet; Goddaughter, Melissa (Adam) Cornacchio; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Ned was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kenneth Pahl.</p>
<p>Friends and family may visit on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at <strong>HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, </strong>1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will start at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and proceed to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (East) for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Michael Hohenbrink celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad conducting military rites. Memorial contribution&#8217;s in Ned&#8217;s  name may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Parish, the ALS Association, Northern Ohio Chapter, Cancer Patients Services, or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ruth Lenore Schoonover, 92, of Findlay passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her residence. Ruth was born on January 3, 1920 to John and Anna (Gorby) Bowersox in Mt. Cory. Ruth was a graduate of Mt. Cory High School, and also a graduate of Bliss Business College in Columbus. Ruth worked at Columbus Coin Machine Company while her husband finished vet school. After her husband graduated from Ohio State they moved back to Findlay and established a veterinarian practice where Ruth worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for 45 years. Ruth was an active member of St. Paul&#8217;s United Methodist Church. Ruth&#8217;s involvement with the church included being part of the Administrative Board, Pathfinders Sunday School class, the Adult Choir, Prayer Fellowship, Prayer Partners, Women&#8217;s Society for Christian Service, Youth Teacher, and the Council on Ministries. Ruth enjoyed going to the horse races and county fairs where she would groom the horses before they raced. Ruth was also a volunteer for the Twigs at the hospital.</p>
<p>Ruth is survived by her husband of 71 years, whom she married on March 23, 1941, Dr. Hobart D. Schoonover; daughters, Sandy Schoonover and Sharon (Rick) Wyant; brother, Robert Bowersox; sisters, Dorothy Edinger, and Elinor Burkholder. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard, Kenneth, Earl, and John Jr. Bowersox; and sisters, Eloise Christman, and Mary Ellen Bowersox.</p>
<p>Friends and family may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at <strong>HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, </strong>1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul&#8217;s United Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Creech officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Danny worked as a contractor, and enjoyed sport cars, architecture, and building miniatures to scale.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Eve G. DeBrandt &#8211; Unkefer, 84, of Findlay passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at her residence. Eve was born on June 24, 1927 to Kenneth and Eva (Mingus) Stinson in Morristown, New Jersey. Eve married Donald DeBrandt on September 3, 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1992. Eve worked for the Putman County Engineers office retiring in 1992. Eve enjoyed her retirement and spending time with her family and many wonderful friends. Eve loved having dinner parties, theme parties, entertaining, cooking, and traveling. Eve had a part-time job at &#8220;Patti Rae&#8217;s&#8221; dress shop which she loved. When it became Papillon Boutique, she was asked to model in their annual style show. Eve loved life, dancing, music, family and friends. Eve embraced  life with everything she had, and will be missed by all. We will celebrate her life until we all meet again.</p>
<p>Eve is survived by her husband whom she married on June 26, 1999, David Unkefer; children, Darcie (Michael Evanoff) Rieman, Kellie (Dave) Mescher, Michelle (John) Klausing, and Brian and Roger DeBrandt; step children, Monica (Rick) Zimmerman, Rachel (Dan) Doernberg, Beth Morgan, and Clifford and Todd Unkefer; grandchildren, Chris (Lisa) Rieman, Carrie (Jason) Schroeder, Mike Rieman, Ashley and Austin Doner, and Dylan and Cheyenne Klausing; great-grandchildren, Aiden Schroeder and Aliyah Doner; 8 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; brother and sister-in-laws, Ruth Stinson, Dennis (Judy) DeBrandt, and Robert (Geri) DeBrandt; and 11 nieces and nephews. Eve was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenny; and niece, Debi Stinson.</p>
<p>A memorial service celebrating Eve&#8217;s life will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 128 W. Hardin St., Findlay. Friends and family may visit one hour (10:30 &#8211; 11:30 a.m.) prior to service at the church. Mom you were loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you.</p>

Steve served his country in the U.S. Navy and was the owner and operator of Chidester Tax Service for 25 years. Steve worked as a systems accountant for Riverside County DPSS until his retirement in 2003. Steve enjoyed golfing, baseball, being outdoors, and most of all spending time with his family.</p>
<p>Steve is survived by his wife Kate (Weis) Chidester; children, Jeremy (Cassie) Hermiller, Anthony (Amanda) Hermiller, Sarah (Jay) Nickerson, and Bryan Hermiller; grandchildren, Vincent Robert and Emma Kristine Nickerson. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Rik and John Chidester.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Donald Gene Altvater, 82, of Findlay passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. Don was born on October 26, 1929 to Kenneth and Myrtle (Parrish) Altvater in Upper Sandusky and was one of 15 siblings in his family. Don served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and went on to work as a film processor for Kodak until 1986 when he retired after 31 years of service. Don was active in the Hancock County Senior Center, volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program, was a past President of the Eastpoint Condo Association, volunteered with the local Boy Scout troops, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.</p>
<p>Don is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlotte (Cossett) Altvater; children, Valerie Lawrence, Donna (Mark) Howett, and Brian Altvater; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents; and a son-in-law, Robert H. Lawrence.</p>
<p>Funeral services for Don were private. Burial followed in Maple Grove cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad performing Military Honors. <strong>HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, </strong>1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) was entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contribution&#8217;s in Don&#8217;s  name may be made to the Bridge Home Health and Hospice or Cancer Patient Services.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Samuel M. Kuhlman, 92, of Findlay passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Heritage. Sam was born April 1, 1919 to Joseph and Elizabeth (Otto) Kuhlman in New Cleveland, Ohio. Sam was a U.S. Army veteran who served his country during WWII. After returning from the Army, Sam went on to work for the Ashland Oil Company for over 40 years. Sam was a member of St. Michael&#8217;s Catholic Church, the Amateur Trap Association, and a former member of the Maumee Valley Petroleum Association. Sam was an avid trap shooter, played semi-pro softball with the Ft. Wayne Zollner Pistons, an avid jogger who ran a 5k at the age of 84, loved motorcycles and cars, and most of all enjoyed going to his grandchildren&#8217;s ball games.</p>
<p>Sam is survived by his wife of 62 years Dene (Oskey) Kuhlman; children, Joe (Karen), Jerry, Jack (Judy), and Jill Kuhlman; grandchildren, Mike, Matt, Jennifer, Ashley, Andrew, Jacob, and Makayla; 3 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marge Rieman. Sam was preceded in death by his parents; and 10 brothers and sisters.</p>
<p>Friends and family may visit on Wednesday from 6 -8 p.m. at the  <strong>HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, </strong>1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (Downtown) with Fr. Shaji Thomas celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad performing military honors. Memorial contribution&#8217;s in Sam&#8217;s  name may be made to the United Conservation and Outdoor Association of Hancock County.</p>
