Carl “Satch” Kimberlin Sr., 69, of Findlay passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at his residence. Satch was born on April 4, 1942 to Sterling and Reva (Barnett) Kimberlin in Willard, Ohio. Satch was a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1964-1966. During his time in the military, Satch work as an auto mechanic for the military police. Satch then went on to work as a plasma burner for Werk -Brau Industries for over 20 years. Satch was a lifetime member of the AMVETS.

Satch is survived by his wife, Karen (Cramer) Kimberlin; children, Carl (Bonnie) Kimberlin Jr., Dwayne (Beth) Kimberlin, Karlin (Matt) Romick, and Amy (Brad) Honse; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Jerry Kimberlin and Dwayne (Marge) Kimberlin; sisters, Lois (Bill) Kilgore and Stella (Rex) Kilgore. Satch was preceded in death by his parents; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Friends may visit on Friday from 11-1 p.m. at the HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Weaver cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad performing full military rites. Memorial contributions in Satch’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
