Darlene K. Grismore

Darlene K. Grismore, 70 , of Findlay passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Birchaven Village. Darlene was born in Findlay, Ohio on August 17, 1941 to Luther and Marcene (Green) Moss. Darlene attended Glenwood Junior High and graduated from Findlay High School. Darlene married Robert Grismore and they later divorced. Darlene was a past member of the College First Church of God. Darlene worked at Blanchard Valley Hospital at the admitting desk and later as a secretary for several local physicians before retiring from the YMCA. Darlene was a caretaker for her father until health problems consumed both of them at the same time and forced them into assisted care facilities. Darlene was always a cheerful, giving, and caring person.

Darlene is survived by a son, Brian Grismore; aunt, Caroline Dunham; and several cousins.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery with Pastor Michael Thompson officiating. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in Darlene’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

  1. I want to extend my deepest sympathy to your family. Darlene was a joy to know and care for at Birchaven. I use to bring her in food from different restaurants occasionally and we would talk and laugh together. Those times I will cherish and miss. When I brought in her Christmas gift this year she just lit up with a huge smile, I will never forget her. You are in my thoughts and prayers an I’m so glad I got to know Darlene.   2. Dear Caroline,

    My sincere condolences to you. Darlene was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. It didn’t take much to make Darlene happy, those that cared for her as aids truly loved and cared for her. The day before her death she enjoyed listening to the Beatles during exercise group, though she didn’t participate she loved the music. My prayers are with you Caroline. God bless you for your wonderful care and love for Darlene.
