Karis J. (Urban) Wolford, 68, of Findlay passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Birchaven Village. Karis was born on September 23, 1942 to Kenneth and Ardinelle (Snyder) Wolford. Karis worked for many years until her retirement as an administrative assistant for Blanchard Valley Center. Karis enjoyed reading, bird watching, cats, and traveling. Most of all Karis enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Karis is survived by her children, Betsy Urban, of Burleson, TX, Randy (Beth) Urban, of Newnan, GA, Amy Carzoo, of Waterford, CT, and Leslie (Jeff) Seele of McComb; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kay Harvey and Carol Sites, both of Findlay.

Friends may visit on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Karis’ name may be made to the Alzheimer’s/ Lewy Body Dementia Association .

    So Sorry to hear about your mom. Its hard but she is happy now and in a better place. She will be one of the special angels.

    Heartfelt condolences to all whose lives Karis touched. I remember meeting Karis as a child from when she worked with my mother. She was kind and a lovely woman who made an impression on me because I remember her so many years later. God bless you all.

    Betsy; So sorry to hear about your mom. May the love of our Heavenly Father comfort you and your family at this time of loss. Your mother leaves a legacy of her life through you and your family to live on in you and through you. Treasure the times you shared and remember them with fond memories.     So sorry for your loss….it’s so hard to lose a parent. I remember all the times your mom took us roller skating!!

    I am sending my love and prayers to you all. I always thought Karis to be one of the sweetest people I had ever met. She was a member of my bingo club and always seemed to enjoy being with everyone. It is so special to see how she felt about her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful woman and I am proud to have known her and become friends with so many of her family.
