Lewis C. Lands Sr. American Veteran

Lewis Clayton Lands Sr., 72, of Findlay passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. Lewis was born on May 8, 1939 in Harlan, Kentucky to Edward and Birdie Mae (Jones) Lands. Lewis was U.S. Army veteran and worked as a master painter. Lewis was a member of McComb Church of Christ.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elaine (Rizor) Lands; children, Melanie Rodriquez, Lewis (Kassandra) Lands Jr., and Laura (Michael) Gschwind; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Samuel (Beverly) Lands; and sisters, Doris Howard and Judith Bolmeyer. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Roger Lands; sister, Deloris (Robert) Edmond; son-in-law, Emilio Rodriquez Sr.; and brother -in- laws, Robert Howard and Raymond Bolmeyer.

Friends may visit on Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. at the HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Rob Breitigam officiating. Burial will be held in Maple Grove cemetery. Memorial contributions in Lewis’s name may be made to McComb Church of Christ or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
