Mary L. Brickner

Mary L. Brickner, 78, of Findlay passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Birchaven Village. Mary was born on August 31, 1932 to Charles and Hilda (Lamberjack) Ruffing in Carey, Ohio. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her husband, Raphael Brickner; children, Steven (Esta) Brickner, Barbara (Charles)Weaver, Lisa (Karl) Schwalenberg, Brian (Gina) Brickner, and Anthony (Aimee) Brickner; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Tiell, Angela (Francis) Reinhart, and Alma Case; brothers, Samuel and Anthony (Shirley) Ruffing. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Barbara Ruffing.

Friends may visit on Thursday, from 10- 11 a.m. at the HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, (Bright Rd.) with Fr. Mike Hohenbrink celebrating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Blanchard Valley Hospital, all the staff at Bridge Hospice and Birchaven Village for their wonderful care.

    We would like to extend our sympathy to all of you on the death of your Mother and wife, Ray. We know she will be missed by all. Seeing her name in the obituary news today brought back so many good memories of our times together when we lived on West Davis St. Lisa, Sue and you were inseparable. We hope just hearing from us brings good memories to all of you . May God help all of your family through this difficult time.

    It is with deep sorrow that we send all of you our condolences at this very sad time.
    As Mary/Ron Schriner stated, those were very happy times. All of us young and healthy and our growing families in the best neighborhood one could ever seek.
    Your children/grandchildren will help fill your void Ray, we’re sure of that. And, know that Mary Lou is now at peace home with the Lord,after a very long struggle.
    May you all find peace in your Faith knowing she is at peace.
