In Loving Memory Of...
Shirley May Hamlin, 71, of Findlay entered into Eternal rest on Thursday, January 5, 2012. Shirley was born on May 9, 1940 to William and Emma (Blystone) Durstine in Champion, PA. Shirley worked at RCA for 42 years and was the first women to work in the tool crib. Shirley loved fishing, especially at Lake Erie. She was always the first one up and ready to go. Shirley loved bowling, traveling, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Shirley always made it to the children’s ball games, and made sure nobody went hungry. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Winston.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Thomas Hamlin Sr.; children, Timothy Wade, and Thomas (Brenda) Hamlin Jr.; grandchildren, Asha (Ryan) Courtney, Tiffany McMaster, and Alyssa Baldridge; great-grandchildren, Landon, Shayla, Temperance, and Melekhi; sisters, Mrs. Paul (Jeanne) Santucci, Mrs. Donald (Arlene) Sleasman, and Mrs. Janet Harmon; brother-in-law, Bob (Sandy) Hamlin; sisters in-law, Barb (Randy) Horner, Elaine Durstine, and Betty Durstine. Shirley was s preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Bob and Catherine Hamlin; great-grandchild, Savannah; brothers, Milton Leroy, and William Durstine Jr.; and a sister, Gladys Durstine.
A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 3 p.m. at the VFW Post 5645, 315 Walnut St., Findlay. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
