Walter R. Williams Jr. American Veteran

Walter R. Williams Jr., 57, of Findlay passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2011 at his residence. Walter was born on January 4, 1954 in Sharon, PA to Walter R. and Ann Marie (Shebeck) Williams Sr. Walter served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during Vietnam. Walter worked as a cook at various restaurants throughout Findlay. Walter was a proud member of the Moose Lodge #698, the American Legion Post #3, and a avid Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR fan.

Walter is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kay (Adams) Williams, children, Noah Rae Williams, and Sarah O’Reily; step-children, James Cooper, Heath Irwin, Dawn Bye, and Kathy Gatewood; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Ron, Matthew, David, and Bruce Williams; sisters, Judy Gardlock, and Sandy, Sharon, and Patricia; step-sisters, Joanna and Julie. Walter was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Monica Sue Williams.

A Celebration of  Walter’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (Downtown) with Fr. Shaji Thomas celebrating. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in Walter’s name may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.

HE was like family to us. My husband has surgery that date in Toledo but my thoughts will be with you. Please take care and let us know here if we can do anything.
