Allen Emmet Stahl, 82, of McComb, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Independence House in Fostoria. He was the loving husband of Susan (Naus) Stahl who survives him; together they shared 55 years of marriage. Allen was born on April 4, 1936 in Alvada, Ohio to the late Charles L. and Inez B. (Fruth) Stahl.
Allen attended Van Buren High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1958 – 1959 serving in Korea and he also served from 1961 – 1962. Allen loved to go visit his friends and family. You could always find him out in the barn tinkering and fixing things. He loved to always have something to sort. Allen was a lifetime farmer, very caring, thoughtful, and somewhat stubborn person. He retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company after 33 years of service.
Allen is survived by his loving wife, Susan of McComb; son, Rodney Stahl of Arlington; daughters, Chantelle (Russell) Howard of Van Buren, Michelle (Jay) Wilson of Middletown, OH; 10 grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Mackenzie, Trevor, Connor, Kassie, Jessie, Zach, Brandon and Brittany; 6 great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Harley, Aiden, Benjamin, Brett and Abigail. Allen is also survived by his twin sister, Alice Loomis of Weston, OH; brother-in-law, Jack (Celeste) Naus of N.C.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Stahl; brother-in-law, J.R. Loomis; and sister-in-law, Shirley Tomlinson.
Friends and family may visit on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15th at 11 a.m. with one hour of visitation (10-11 a.m.) prior to the service at the funeral home with Pastor Denny Livingston officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad conducting full military rites. Memorial contributions in Allen’s name may be made to the Flag City Honor Flight.
