Harold L. “Butch” Smith II, of Findlay, passed away at the age of 52 on Monday, January 21, 2019 at his residence. He was born April 7, 1966 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Harold L. Smith and Norma R. (Zellers) Smith, and they were divorced.

Butch was a painter for International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He enjoyed time to himself and would quietly pay it forward out of the kindness of his heart and expect nothing in return.

Butch is survived by his mother, Norma Smith of Findlay; sister, Wendy (David D.) Snoke of Findlay; and a step-brother that he loved as a brother, Travis (Andrea) Van Brunt. He is also survived by his nephew, Ryan Snoke; and niece, Amber (Spearman) Leone. Friends and family may visit on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 12 – 2 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services for Butch will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Donna Eubanks will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of memorials, we ask that you “Pay It Forward” as Butch did.

  1. Dear Norma and Wendy:

Please accept my deepest apology and condolences for not being at Butches funeral. Jane and I have recently moved to Lima and no longer get the Courier newspaper. I just found out at 3:30 p.m. , Friday about the funeral. No one in the family let us know. Again, our deepest apologies and condolences.
    Dan and Jane Smith
