Charlene Louise Baum, 83, of Vanlue, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. Before passing, she expressed with excitement in her own words, “I get to go to heaven!” She was born in Findlay, Ohio on November 24, 1935 to the late Charley S. and Anita D. (Kiser) Pratt. Charlene and Robert Charles Baum were united in marriage on April 5, 1956 and to this union, they were blessed with five children.

Charlene was a graduate of Vanlue High School. She retired from Hancock County Law Library. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She attended Findlay E-Free Church.

In addition to her loving husband Robert, of 63 years, Charlene is survived by sons, Dennis (Deb) Baum of Mansfield, OH, Kevin (Ann) Baum of West Chester, OH, Greg Baum of Findlay, OH; daughters, Anita (Jim) Musgrave of Mt. Blanchard, OH, Lisa Baum of Findlay, OH; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and five step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Norman Pratt of Dunkirk, OH. Charlene was preceded in death by brother, Raymond Pratt; and granddaughter, Merideth Baum.

A private graveside service will be held in Van Horn Cemetery. Service will be conducted by her sons Dennis and Kevin. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in Charlene’s name may be made to Findlay E-Free Church, 2515 Heatherwood, Findlay, Ohio 45840.

  1. Our condolences to the Baum Family on the loss of Charlene. She was such a wonderful, sweet woman. She will be missed but all of heaven is rejoicing and for those that know and love the Lord, we will see her again!

  6. My loving thoughts to each member of her family. I had not seen her in 40 years but I do know what a terrific mother she was. She raised independent, intelligent, goal achieving, dedicated, God trusting children.
    May God fill your souls with strength and comfort.

  7. My condolences for your family. Mrs. Baum was a sweet person. She made sure her children were doing what they should be doing in school. She never hesitated to say thank you. Even though I have not seen any of you for years, I still believe she was still a sweet soul. Blessings for all of you. Take care.
