Steve Allen DePuy, 63, of Arlington, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at The Toledo Hospital in Toledo, OH. He was born June 17, 1955 in Findlay to Donald E. and Rheta A. (Wilson) DePuy. Steve enjoyed NASCAR, being outside, cutting wood, spending time at the river and fishing at the reservoir. He had a true bond with his dog “Bob” of 17 years.

Steve is survived by his mother, Rheta of Findlay; brothers, Bruce DePuy and Brad (Nancy) DePuy; sister, Rhonda (Mike) Cool. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Chad, Christopher, Brandon, Ben, Carrie, Whitney, Taylor, Morgan, and Dillon; and 20 great-nieces and great-nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Donald.

Friends and family may visit on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A memorial service will be held on Friday at the conclusion of visitation at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Bash officiating. Memorial contributions in Steve’s name may be made to Hancock County Humane Society or to Pheasants Forever, Hancock County Chapter.

  1. Steve was a free spirit. I remember him and the Firebird with the three deuces and hunting with Bruce, Brad and Steve behind their property on State Route 224 when we were still at Liberty-Benton High School. I did not know Steve as well as I know their awesome family…Rheta, Bruce, Brad and Rhonda, my/our thoughts are with you at this time. Bill and Jamie Allen

  2. Oh my gosh! Not really sure what to say, honestly. I just heard the news. Steve, always, highlighted my day with his corny laugh as he stopped through my store on his way home from work. He’s one that will never be forgotten! My condolences to his family and friends. Get out there and go fishin with pops!

  3. You all are in my prayers during this time. Steve was one of a kind and he was such fun to be around. We started the same day at whirlpool and he at least got out before I did. I know he’ll be missed. God Bless you all.
